Provisional License

Your first step towards learning how to drive is to obtain your Provisional License.  Without this you are not allowed to drive a car, even if you are supervised.

You can obtain the forms to apply for your Provisional License at any Post Office Branch, or via the internet by clicker here.

Once you have obtained your provisional license you can begin to learn to drive.  At this point it would probably be a good idea for you to read through the Highway Code.  You can read the Highway Code online here.  You may also like to visit the Road Safety website to get a better understanding of how to stay safe on the road.  You can visit their website by clicking here.

Once you have began to learn to drive you will need to pass your Theory Test before you can apply for the Practical Test.  To help you pass the Theory Test you can practise online at the DSA website by clicking here.

Once you are ready to book your Theory or Practical test you can do so online by clicking here.

Once you have passed your driving test you may want to investigate the benefits of completing the Pass Plus course.  For more information please click here.  You can complete your Pass Plus course through Lynn Barrett Driving School.
